Conservative Party Conference

Oct 14, 2025

Today, Homes for the North joined sector leaders at a Conservative Party Conference fringe event, expertly hosted by Planning Futures Director Hannah David at The Edwardian Hotel in Manchester. The panel brought together voices from the National Housing Federation, G15, @Bob Blackman CBE MP and Homes for the North to discuss the Conservative Party’s vision for social housing and its vital role in driving economic growth and building sustainable communities.

Our Chair, Bronwen Rapley, supported the discussion by reaffirming our alliance’s commitment to delivering more and better homes for over one million people across the North of England. All panellists were united by a shared ambition: to create homes that meet the needs of our communities and contribute to national prosperity.

Homes for the North stands ready to work with all parties to shape policies that deliver real outcomes for people and places. We bring bucket loads of expertise, strong delivery capability, and a commitment to partnership to build the homes Britain needs.

Thank you to all who joined us for a productive and insightful discussion. We look forward to continuing the conversation and driving positive change for housing across the North.
